Frequently Asked Questions.

FAQs

Is it a blood test?

No. I use muscle testing to find the food intolerances so no blood is taken or used in the testing process.

Does anything go on my skin?

All food samples are inside sealed glass vials so no food touches the skin throughout the testing session.

Do I have to eat anything?

No! I won’t be force feeding anything to you! As you can see above, all food samples are placed on your body in glass containers. That is enough ‘contact’ with the food for your body to respond accordingly through the muscle testing.

Can you test for allergies?

Using muscle testing, I will be looking for any food that your body does not want you to eat. That is an intolerance. I cannot test for allergies. If you suspect that you have allergies and your symptoms are more of an immune reaction, then you are better placed seeking out a blood test via your GP. Read more about the difference between allergies and intolerances here.

How long does the testing take?

The whole appointment takes around one and a half to two hours. Some of that time will be spent taking any relevant medical history, discussing medication and finding out more about which foods you suspect you are intolerant to. Read more about what happens during an appointment here.

How many appointments will I need?

Food intolerances will be identified in the first appointment. If so, you may choose to return after the recommended time, to re-check if the same foods are still an issue. This is optional and will be left up to you if you would like to return or not.

Do you test children?

I am happy to test anyone over the age of 16. The muscle testing requires a certain level of concentration and consistency in order to deliver reliable results.

What if I have skin issues not digestive issues?

That’s fine. I can test for those too! We will talk more when you get in touch to book, but we can test whatever you’d like to, to try to determine if that is causing your skin issues. So you can bring along absolutely anything that your skin comes in to contact with and we will incorporate that into your testing session. Get in touch if you’d like to know more.

Do you have a waiting room?

No, there is no waiting room so I would ask that you arrive at your appointment time please, as I am unable to answer the door early if I am treating another client. Thank you.

How much does it cost?

A food testing appointment costs £99. For more information about prices visit the Prices page or click here.

How do I book in?

You can use the Booking Page on this website, or you can email or phone me. I look forward to hearing from you!

Is the booking fee refundable?

The booking fee is taken to secure your booking. If you cancel within 72 hours notice, the booking fee can be returned. If you fail to attend the appointment and do not give 72 hours or more notice, then the fee is non-refundable.

"I’ve tried so many different diets and so many different ways to work out what was upsetting my tummy, but this method of testing found out straight away which foods my body didn’t want. It was truly fascinating!"
